Skill Development For Employment
Titan LeAP started in 2015 to train youth in centres. But over a while, the programme evolved to a hub-and-spoke model to cater to the preference of receiving training closer to home or college. At spokes or mini-centres, trainers would conduct classes at NGOs or popular colleges for the less privileged. This helped LeAP achieve scale and impact.
The programme is highly effective and dynamic by constantly incorporating training for newer skills the youth can leverage in the market. Subsequently, to include rural youth within the scope, the programme expanded to include rural livelihoods. The pandemic has been harsh on every industry, business, and skill development. Training shifted from classrooms to the virtual space. Those less privileged struggled to access the requisite gadgets and connectivity. Titan LeAP quickly adapted to the evolving situation and delivered the expected output successfully. Over 4500 youth were trained in various courses such as ITeS, Hardware and Networking, Retail, Teacher Training, etc. This programme also focuses on skilling women vulnerable to trafficking and belonging to marginalized communities who suffer from low confidence, humiliation, and poverty. It trains them in relevant digital skills and places them in backend jobs until they are confident enough to handle front end roles.
